dragon egg help?

i got an angel egg from the contest(given by ruby) but i would like to know some of the following things:
what will more likely make it a female,(if there's any other than cold places and fire)
what will harm it(example: birds,snakes)
should i be on my character a lot, does that affect the hatching time?
is my egg a dead one? (XD i don't know, i fought one or two medium things)

sorry for the barrage of questions, just.. wondering.

what will more likely make it a female - As far as I know, Ice (and a few other maps I have forgotten) and Tail Fires.
what will harm it - Anything sharp; Spiked collars(I think) any type of sword/blade. The Keyblade is the worst though.
should i be on my character a lot, does that affect the hatching time? - No clue.
is my egg a dead one? - I dun really know what happens when it's dead, apparently it just dissapears or has (dead) next to it's name.

Well, You should have a Tail fire(red) And a character with NO sharp items as in ZT, Horns, All swords but Key Blade, And Telly. Lovestruck is good for the egg and Life shard or any other cross shard.

Keep it in your stash without any of those sharp items

If your eggy doesnt hatch in 2 weeks and 3 days then its dead.

Keep it away from any birds snakes.

DO NOT Get wounded.

BTW theres not a way to tell its dead but theres a limit 2 weeks and 3 days. Thats how you tell
